The sloth is eating noodles.

He is sitting cross-legged on a mossy branch high in a tree, in a red embroidered robe with gold trim and small turquoise stones at the collar, lifting a single tangle of noodles from a small ceramic bowl. He has been doing this since before you were born. The bowl is still full.

The owl in the next branch over is holding a brass key in her beak. We've been seeing keys for a while now in our designs — in vines, in borders, never with a holder. This is the owl who has them. We don't know what she's planning to unlock. She isn't telling either.

The capybara on the lower branch has galaxies inside him. Actual ones, spiral arms and everything. The snail next to him does not. Nobody knows why the capybara got chosen.

Down at the roots, an elephant is pouring tea from a small porcelain pot into the pool, where an octopus is decorated like a piece of pottery and a seal is reclining on a bed of jewels he definitely did not pay for. The ants are rolling gears past a glowing mushroom — gears we have seen before, in other forests, doing other things. They're building something. They've always been building something.

Above all of it: a galaxy made of eyes, watching the meal go on.

If you've collected our Tree of Life and our Knowing Tree, this is the third one. Same world, different hour. The first tree was about discovery. The second was about time. This one is about what you do while the time passes. Mostly: you eat. Slowly. Forever.

Heavyweight garment-dyed cotton, the kind that gets better the more you ignore it. Soft from the first wear, softer after the third, eventually the softest thing you own. Relaxed fit, no side seams, sewn-in label so nothing scratches the back of your neck while you're taking your time. Holds up to gardens, hammocks, long drives, longer dinners, and approximately one decade of weekly laundry.

Wear it to a meal you don't want to rush. Wear it on the slow weeknights when the soup is the whole event. Wear it when you've decided that finishing is not the goal — eating is the goal — and there's a difference.
