AI & Our Mockups
Last updated: June 2026
We make our art with the help of generative AI, and we’d rather be plain about where it shows up. This page explains which of the product photos you see are made with AI — and which show the real, printed item.
Which images use AI
Some of our on-model mockups— the ones showing a person wearing a piece — feature AI-generated models. The person depicted is not a real, identifiable human; they’re created digitally to show how a design sits on a body. The artwork on the garment is the genuine design; the model is a synthetic stand-in.
Which images are real
Our flat-lay photos— the garment laid flat, folded, or shown on its own — show the actual printed item. These are not AI-generated people. When you want the most honest look at what arrives in the box, the flat-lays are it.
Why we disclose this
New York’s Synthetic Performer Disclosure Law (S.8420-A, effective June 9, 2026) requires a clear disclosure whenever an advertisement seen by New York consumers features an AI-generated person. We show this notice to everyone, everywhere — it’s simply the honest thing to do.
